Abstract: |
Online dictionaries are important resources for both students and experts and should be planned in accordance with scientific criteria. This paper will present an empirical analysis of existing bilingual and plurilingual online LSP-dictionaries, in particular focusing on the languages "German/Italian" and covering the field of "tourism". Attention will be paid to on particular aspects of macrostructure (type of author or institution, number and type of involved languages, number and type of entries, usage order etc.), the surrounding information (introduction, register, user guide), the lexicographic criteria employed and microstructure (type and order of information included). The dictionaries' use of technological instruments (hyperlinks, search tools etc.) will also be analysed. The results of these analyses will then be discussed and reflected upon. |
