The following article describes the relevance of an online mono- and bilingual
collocations dictionary for German as a foreign language, based on the corpus- and databased bilingual syntagmatic dictionary SZÓKAPTÁR/KOLLEX (2014) and presents first ideas for the realisation of E-KOLLEX. After a short introduction the second section shortly overviews the data on word combinations and collocations in online monolingual dictionaries for German (duden.de, elexico, DWDS) and in some automatically generated cooccurrence lists for the needs of language learners. Then the third section presents the concrete numbers of the KOLLEX-database with 2262 polysemous words and more than 61 000 word combinations and collocations. With the help of a webbased user interface and a dynamic data structure in the new data management system the KOLLEX can be extended easily. As a first result a bilingual learner's dictionary for German collocations can be developed on the database of KOLLEX. As a first step, the data structure for verbal collocations with the structure ADV+VERB and its extension with new datatypes is introduced. As a second step, the selection of different types of collocations in two or more collocator wordlists is shown, based on the German register of 10313 cotextpartners. The solutions found for E-KOLLEX are presented by means of concrete examples, the so called collocator articles where the
collocators are part of an intralingual collocation (cf. Hollós 2004, in print). This baseline study provides the first theoretical and practical steps towards new EKOLLEX-ressources. |
