Abstract

The aim of this paper is to characterize German adjectival neologisms listed in the ‘Wortwarte’ electronic corpus, authored by dr Lothar Lemnitzer from Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences. This corpus of neologisms is regularly updated using texts published online, so on the basis of its contents it is possible to capture the specificity of the newly emerging neologisms. This paper describes some particularly interesting (in the author’s opinion) features of registered adjectival neologisms.
